• Check customer’s strategic ransomware readiness by initially evaluating their existing security posture across their Absolute registered endpoints and identifying key security controls (e.g., anti-virus/anti-malware, endpoint protection, or endpoint detection and response solutions) and device management tools that are required to not only minimize ransomware exposure but also assure expedited recovery efforts. In addition, customers can gain an understanding which Absolute registered endpoints might have sensitive files so that they can ensure appropriate backup of those files with their existing tools.
• Establish a cyber hygiene baseline across endpoints by establishing policies that allow for monitoring and self-healing of essential device management tools and mission-critical security controls that are needed to detect, restore, and prevent ransomware.
• Expedite recovery tasks by equipping customers with the capabilities to communicate with end users even when their devices are compromised, freeze endpoints to preserve evidence for litigation purposes and potentially limiting further spread of infection, assure that endpoint security or other device management tools that might have been rendered inoperable are functioning even under distress, and execute custom workflow and task automation commands to expedite device recovery leveraging a library of custom scripts.
• Provide remote assistance in endpoint recovery efforts by sharing proven expertise, putting less demands on hard-pressed IT admin and security teams.
